My name is Ashley Terra and I am an Educational Therapist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I received my post-graduate certification in Educational Therapy from UC Riverside Extension and am an Associate member of AET (Association of Educational Therapists). I have extensive experience working with students who have diagnoses of ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and auditory processing disorder, as well as with students who have challenges of written expression, reading comprehension, executive functioning, and learning anxiety. My goal as an educator is to create a welcoming and compassionate space, with a focus on individual strengths as a catalyst for skill development. Each learning experience is unique and, by working from a student's strengths, we can more comfortably build confidence in the learning process.
Prior to transitioning to Educational Therapy, I received my BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and was a ballet/modern dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. To this day, my lifelong experience in the arts has fostered a deep appreciation for the value of creativity, flexibility, and compassion in my work with my students.
